 Limited Edition Aloha Shirt! The Reyn Spooner "Damien Saint" aloha shirt commemorates the canonization (sainthood) of Father Damien, a legendary figure in Hawaiian history. Father Damien Veuster (also known as the Blessed Damien of Molokai) was a Roman Catholic missionary from Belgium who served the leper colony on Molokai HI. For 25 years, he aided those who suffered from leprosy until his death from the same disease in 1889.
The shirt features a tapa-style design with various historical scenes, including Father Damien's church (featuring the cliffs of Molokai in the background), Father Damien's Molokai gravestone, and a portrait of Father Damien with is name and date of canonization (October 11, 2009).
The shirt itself is constructed from Spooner Kloth™ (a 60% cotton/40% polyester blend combining the cool comfort of combed cotton with the wrinkle free properties of polyester) and features a matching left chest pocket and a "reverse print" for a slightly faded look. A truly authentic aloha shirt, designed in Hawaii by Reyn Spooner. This sought-after limited issue shirt is highly collectible so get yours while supplies last! Available in navy, black or red.
