 Sterlingwear calls their peacoat "The Authentic" because it's the most accurate reproduction of the current US Navy issue peacoat available. The Authentic is the ONLY commercially produced peacoat on the market today that accurately reproduces the look, feel, warmth and durability of the classic military-issue peacoat -- but at a much lower price than many "pretenders." The Authentic features a 24 oz 80% wool-20% nylon melton shell, full fleece lining with satin yoke & sleeves, convertible collar, two front handwarmer pockets, one inside breast pocket, vented back, and anchor design buttons. The military peacoat has been a tradition for generations, and The Authentic continues that tradition with all the practicality, warmth & timeless style of the original. The coat features a full nylon lining, a zipper under the leather-trimmed toggle closure for added protection from the elements, two front cargo pockets, and a hood with adjustable drawstrings.
