Our black Current Issue A-2 is based on the latest USAF A-2 pattern (which is an update of the "second generation" A-2s issued in 1987). The "current issue" pattern features a number of functional & comfort upgrades over the older pattern A-2s, including side-entry handwarmer pockets (previous military-issue A-2s lacked these), two inside wallet pockets, an interior double slotted pen/pencil pocket, and side panels for a more comfortable fit. Other features include a premium ultra-supple black goatskin shell, two front snap-flapped cargo pockets, a snap-down collar, an exterior windflap over an antiqued brass zipper, a one piece back, knit cuffs & waistband, shoulder epaulets, and a distinctive blue nylon lining. Although the pattern has been updated, it's still unmistakably an A-2: the classic jacket originally adopted by the USAAF back in 1931!

The venerable A-2 is now available in cotton! This lightweight A-2 is both ultra comfortable and durable. It features a 100% cotton shell, washable snap-down leather collar, leather trim, stitched-down epaulets, two front cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers, an inside pocket, knit cuffs & waistband, and a brass zipper. The jacket's soft cotton shell gives you unrestricted comfort in the cockpit or on the ground. Limited Quantity Collector's Edition! This is a true pilot's jacket (although you don't need to be a pilot to wear it!) and one of the finest A-2s we've ever produced! The leather is lambskin from the mountains of south-central Asia, which is ultra-lightweight (and not available on the open market... this leather is a US Wings exclusive). It's also incredibly soft... the leather has been hand-worked and hand-stretched to give it a luxurious level of softness & suppleness that must be seen to be fully appreciated. Also, the hand-aging antiquing process really brings out the leather's varied grain & subtle color variations for that authentic "antique" appearance. It's truly a "VIP-class" jacket!
Features include two front snap-flap cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers, one piece back, snap-down collar, an interior pocket, rayon satin lining, antiqued brass zipper, and knit cuffs & waistband. A bit of extra length has been added to the body and the sleeves to give the wearer unrestricted comfort, whether in the cockpit, the driver's seat, or on the ground.

Our Vintage A-2 2000 is constructed from beautiful antique Italian cowhide leather. This incredibly supple leather has been hand-aged, giving the jacket that subtle patina of "wear" (and each jacket has its own unique characteristics, like subtle color variations & varied graining, so no two jackets will look exactly alike). Hand cut and hand sewn, this is an upscale jacket of the highest quality. The antiquing process allows the jacket to age rapidily as you wear it, increasing its battle-worn look over time. This kid's A-2 might be small in size, but it's an accurate reproduction of the USAF-issue A-2 and has everything the adult A-2 has, including a genuine goatskin leather shell, two front cargo pockets with side entry handwarmers, two inside pockets, snap-down collar, stitched-down epaulets, poly-cotton lining, antiqued brass zipper under windflap, and knit cuffs & waistband.

Finally, an A-2 jacket tailored just for women! Our US Wings WASP A-2 is an authentic reproduction of the WWII A-2 made for the WASPs (Women's Airforce Service Pilots). It's made from the finest goatskin leather and includes all the classic A-2 features: front cargo pockets, snap-down collar, stitched-down epaulets, brass zipper, and one piece back. We've also added side-entry handwarmer pockets and an inside pocket to store your gear. What makes this jacket different from our other A-2s is the fit -- it's made specifically for women (the standard men's A-2 can be worn by women, but it's often ill-fitting). We also offer our US Wings WASP A-2 with an embroidered Fifinella patch on the left chest. Fifinella was the insignia of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs). She is a winged female gremlin, wearing goggles and boots, and was originally designed by Walt Disney (who also designed the insignia for the Flying Tigers). Her job was to ward off male gremlins, who were believed to cause aircraft malfunctions. The jacket also has an embroidered USAAF patch on the left sleeve. Cut specifically for women, this A-2 made from the finest goatskin leather and includes all the classic A-2 features, including front cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers, inside pocket, snap-down collar, stitched-down epaulets, brass zipper, and one piece back.
