A Brief History

The “R & R Jacket” (R & R = rest & recreation, outside of the combat zone) was a popular jacket among servicemen during the Vietnam War. Local tailors would custom make these jackets for servicemen to wear during their “paid vacations” and the jackets featured embroidered back & sleeve designs, typically featuring a map of Indochina and oriental dragons.
