Was on your site planning to replace the bomber jacket my wife bought me in 1986 as a graduation gift from my MBA program, and saw you served with the 1st Infantry at Lai Khe.
I served throughout 1967 with the 11th Combat Aviation Battalion at Phu Loi, and one of our aviation companies, the 173rd “Robin Hoods” was at Lai Khe. We flew a lot of missions supporting the 1st and 2nd of the 28th Infantry at Lai Khe, and the 1/16 at Phouc Vinh.
Thanks for the great merchandise, your support of the Viet Vets, and for trying to set the record straight – we were neither baby killers, victims, nor drug crazed draftees. Just a bunch of largely normal kids trying to live up to the expectations and legacy of the “Greatest Generation.”

Let me start by thanking you for your service to our great nation. I sincerely appreciate it… I am currently back in Korea as a contractor working on US Army helicopters. I am doing the same job I did during the last 6 of my 10 years of Army service, but now I am making the money to match the job. I am planning on ordering two B-3 jackets to protect my lovely wife and myself against the Korean winter…
Now to the “Hackmobile”: I was stationed at Ft Campbell in 9-101st Aviation and have seen your jeep with my own eyes. It’s amazing that 7 years later I am planning on buying B-3 bomber jackets from the man who drove it. I can tell you that during our tour (we went to the museum as part of “training” which was some of the best “training” I received while I was there) there were quite a few utterances of “what the f**k?”. I personally was looking for the keys.
I could not wait for my future order to arrive to read The Life of a Warrior, and had to download it. Brother, you had me laughing and crying the entire time. It’s just like your comment about missing the Army until you go to a military post. Friday morning at 0600 in the hangar as I was drinking coffee to attempt to wake up for work, here comes a company-sized formation running through during PT. I couldn’t help but let out a little laugh and a “better you than me.” It’s funny, but while I’m at work with the soldiers I don’t miss it while watching the things I went through (not to mention that I work with my old unit in Korea!!!) but as soon as I’m off work I wish I was back in uniform…
Your story is an inspiration Brother, and you’ve made me look at what I’ve done with my life since I got out of the Army.

Several years ago I purchased an Adventurer Kangaroo Leather Jacket and a B-3 Bomber Jacket. Both are holding up quite well. I am a broadcast radio engineer in Michigan and I needed some outer wear to protect me from the elements. I get called out at the most inopportune times in respect to the weather.
The B-3 has kept me warm in the winter. Even in 60 MPH winds with the temperature below 20 I don’t need much else on. And I have received many compliments on its looks from complete strangers.
The kangaroo jacket has kept me quite comfortable in the fall and spring, and my wife thinks I look quite rugged in it. I do have one problem with it though. The damn thing won’t wear out. After four years of heavy use I thought it might start to look a little beat up by now to give it that cool “lived in” look, but it still looks nearly new. I even asked my wife to drag it for a mile behind her jeep down a dirt road. She said she would be happy to do it, so long as I was wearing it at the time.
All kidding put aside I feel you sell some wonderful, high quality products. I have recommended your store to many of my friends, and I hope to make other purchases from you as the need arises.

I just wanted to let you know that I received my jacket today in great shape. I inspected every inch of it 3 times and haven’t been able to find any reason that it would be a “FACTORY SECOND.” So, if it’s flawed, I can’t find it. Also, thank you for the hat… it looks great with the jacket. More importantly than all this, thank you for the news clippings and the copy of your book. When you first e-mailed me, I thought that I had heard/saw your name before, but I couldn’t place it. The I read the clippings/articles and remembered you from a trivia game (in reference to your company taking the first ever CC order online). However, it was not until I read your book that I fully remembered you.
I had 2 uncles in Vietnam… Uncle Mike was stationed in Danang and was a sheetmetal worker. He would patch up some of the Hueys that came in all shot up. My Uncle Tom was in the 101… My Great Uncle Milton Black was a 2nd class Machinist Mate stationed on the U.S.S. Cushing during WWII. My Uncle Robert Kies was a 2nd Class Boatswainsmate during the Korean war. My Dad was a 3rd class Engineman and served from ’58-’62, and served onboard both the U.S.S. Norton Sound stationed at Port Huinemem and YTB-73 stationed at Pearl Harbor. My brother was an E-3 Fireman onboard the U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower in the late ’70’s early ’80’s during the Lebanon crisis. And, I myself was a E-3 Seaman first class onboard the U.S.S. Wabash during the first Persian Gulf war.
Well sir, when I read your book, all of the things I was told about you as a child came back to me. Things one here’s when they are growing up and forget in time. I remembered my Dad talking about your Red, White and Blue JEEP and my Uncle Mike talking about you being the BEST recruiter our nation has ever seen. In short, it brought up a lot of fond memories for me. Thank you so much for having the courage to write your story down. Thank you for the inspiration that you have given to countless numbers. Thank you for having the courage to take life by the horns and to NEVER give up. And, most of all, thank you for defending our country during a time of profound change and great unacceptance of the military, and for defending the freedoms that so many of our countrymen (and women) take for granted.
