Our Cooper Original® Cowhide Vietnam Map Legacy A-2 Jacket Jacket features our exclusive Vietnam Conflict Map lining as a tribute to all who served during the Vietnam War. Although the A-2 was never worn during the Vietnam War, its overwhelming popularity demanded that we include it in our Vietnam Map series of jackets. First introduced in the early 1930s, the A-2 was an instant classic and saw service on every front during WWII. Although it was discontinued in 1942, there were enough A-2s in the pipeline that it continued to be issued to pilots during the Korean War. Then, after four decades, the A-2 made its triumphant comeback in 1987 and is still being issued to USAF & US Army pilots to this day.
Our Cooper Legacy A-2 is inspired by the Cooper Sportswear WWII USAAF A-2 (Contract No. W535AC 23381 of 5th January 1942) and is made from the finest cowhide available. An outstanding jacket that any Vietnam veteran or jacket collector will truly appreciate.
