Cooper Original Women’s Army A-2
During WWII, the A-2 jacket was primarily associated with US Army Air Force pilots & aircrews (the Air Force was part of the US Army until 1947), but the A-2 was also worn by non-aviation US Army personnel including officers serving in the 82nd Airborne and the 101st Airborne; even Gen. Douglas MacArthur was known to wear an A-2 jacket. But whether they were the pilot of a B-17 with 25 missions under their belt, a P-51 Mustang fighter ace, or a member of an elite parachute infantry regiment, those who were authorized to wear the A-2 wore it like a badge of honor.
For the first time in more than seven decades, the A-2 “Bomber” Jacket will make its triumphant return to active duty to the US Army and will become an officially issued jacket once again! A beautiful jacket, made with first-rate materials! The cowhide is a nice variation from the Air Force-issue goatskin, though both have their place. I now have the AF and Army-issue A-2s, and the Navy-issue G-1 and SWO jackets. Great jackets that look and feel great. Thanks!

I have collected A-2 jackets for several years now and I have built up a rather good collection of both old and modern pattern A-2s. I was quite excited to see the new U.S. Army A-2! I just had to get one and I am very happy I did! Not only for my collection, but it is indeed a wonderful jacket. The cowhide leather is fabulous, the color is absolutely fantastic and the quality is top-notch. A beautiful jacket indeed! I have worn it for almost two months and I am very pleased to see how well it brakes in. This jacket looks even better and better as it is being used. Get one!
