NEW! Our US Wings Indy-style Adventure Bags are a reproduction of the WWII-era British MK VII respirator bag used by British troops to carry their gas mask & filters in during the war. It’s also similar to the bag carried by the hero of the “Raiders of the Lost Ark” movie (and its three sequels), although our versions have been updated to be more stylish & practical for 21st Century use!
We offer two versions: our OD Green Military-grade Cotton Canvas Indy-style Adventure Bag and our Antique Brown Cape Buffalo Leather Indy-style Adventure Bag. Both bags measure 10″ x 10″ x 3″, large enough to carry an ancient idol or a 10″ iPad (or even a gas mask if you think you might need one). The size is ideal and makes the bag extremely versatile & functional: it’s large enough to carry your daily essentials but it’s not excessively huge like some modern messenger bags. Other features include a large divided main compartment, a snap-closed top flap, an adjustable 52-inch leather carrying strap, and two screened bottom drainage vents.
The Cotton Canvas Indy-style Adventure Bag also features two D-rings and an attached tie-down cord (the D-rings & cord were used to hold the bag in position and the string may be removed if not wanted). We also added another feature not found on original MKVII gas mask bags: two 5″ x 9″ rear exterior pockets covered by another snap-flap. In addition to increasing the bag’s storage capacity, these two extra pockets are large enough to hold a bottle of water or to hold valuables that you prefer to carry closer to your body for more security when traveling in foreign lands.
